Sectoral campaign on Processing and Storage of Foodgrains and Pulses

ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology (NINFET), Kolkata has actively participated in the sectoral campaign on “Processing & storage of food grains and pulses” – an initiative by ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology, Ludhiana as a part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Banners on processing & storage in general and processing of pulses in particular (Design supplied by ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana) were printed and displayed at different places in the Institute premises for sensitization of the general public in the locality regarding the processing & storage of grains and pulses.
Moreover, the banners were hosted on the Institute Facebook account on 22.01.2022 where it was seen by thousands of visitors thus sensitizing them regarding the benefits, processing, and storage of food grains and pulses.
Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director has taken a keen interest in this campaign and urged the staff members of the Institute to spread this message among the general public to a large extent.
