Industry-Institute Interface on Vision@2047 organized at ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata

ICAR- National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata organized an Industry-Institute Interface on Vision@2047 on June 1, 2022. Dr. S. N. Jha, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Engineering) ICAR-New Delhi graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Dr. R. C. Maheswari, Former Vice-Chancellor, SDAU and Chairman RAC, Sh. Debashish Roy, Director General, Indian Jute Mill Association, Shri R. K. Lohia, CMD, Lohia Corp Ltd. Shri S. K. Chandra, Director, Hooghly Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. and other industrialists/ entrepreneurs from West Bengal and other parts of the country have participated. 

Dr D.B. Shakyawar, welcomed all the dignitaries and briefed them about the various technologies developed at the institute and emphasized collaboration between industry and institute for the benefit of natural fibres stakeholders.

Dr S. N. Jha applauded the gathering and stressed to make collaboration between industry and institute in the field of AI and IoT for the solution of prevailing problems in natural fibres. He emphasized establishing a consortium of natural fibre stakeholders.

Dr. R. C. Maheswari, Chairman, RAC highlighted the importance of a database on different natural fibres, human resources, entrepreneurs and industry experts related to natural fibres for the drafting Vision 2047 document.

Meanwhile, Dr. S.N. Chattopadhyay presented the Vision 2047 of ICAR-NINFET and all experts shared their views and suggestions for giving a new dimension for future research in line with Vision 2047. Er. Shrivastava delivered the vote of thanks.
