Hindi Scientific Seminar under the theme, भारत का अमृत महोत्सव - आत्मनिर्भर भारत की ओर बढ़ते कदमorganized by ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata on September 27, 2021

The ICAR- National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology organized a Hindi Scientific Seminar on September 27, 2021 with the theme, भारत का अमृत महोत्सव - आत्मनिर्भर भारत की ओर बढ़ते कदम as part of Hindi Fortnight Celebrations 2021.

In his inaugural address, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar congratulate the organizing committee and the participants to share their scientific research knowledge in a platform where the whole programme is conducted in Raj Bhasha. He said that Hindi is the language which united all other languages in the country and is only it is the only source to hold each and every people of India united. Hindi is our identity and makes every Indian unique. After that the Director presented the journey of ICAR-NINFET during last ten years to the audience. In this occasion NINFET News Letter were released by the Dignitaries.

The Seminar was Chaired by Dr. A. K. Tomar, Director, CSWRI, Awikanagar and Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwala, Director, CIPHET, Ludhiana; Dr Mukesh Kumar Singh, former Director, UPTTI, Kanpur Chaired a Technical Session.

A total of 7 Lead Lectures, by eminent persons including Dr Man Singh, Project Director, WTC, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, Dr Sujata Saxena, Director, ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai and Dr N. Prasad, Network Coordinator, ICAR-HPVNRG, Ranchi. The Event also had 7 research presentations which are presented by scientists of various ICAR Institutes from all over India including scientists of host institute, The honourable Judges ware Dr. K. K. Sathpathy and Dr. N. C. Pan, former Directors, ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata.

This is one of its own kind programmes in which all the speakers delivered their lecture and presentation in Hindi language only, which proved the fact that our scientists are self-reliant in using RAJ BHASHA in scientific research also. The Seminar was convened by Dr. P. C. Sarkar, Principal Scientist, NINFET, Kolkata. 

In continuation of the above programme two week long Hindi fortnight was concluded on 28.09.2021. Dr. Sunil Kumar Loka, Deputy Director (OL), Hindi Teaching Scheme, Department of Official Language, GoI, Kolkata graced the session as Chief Guest. In his address, Dr. Loka emphasized on importance and use of official language in routeing official work. He urged all the staff to try to maximize the use of Hindi. The whole programme was compared by Dr. D.P. Ray, Principal Scientist, ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata.
