Celebration of 73rd Republic Day at ICAR-NINFET

ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering & Technology, Kolkata witnessed the celebration of the 73rd Republic Day on the 26th January, 2022. Staff members filled with a feeling of patriotism and dedication joined the programme at institute premises. On this auspicious occasion former directors of the institute Dr. K.K. Satapathy and Dr. N.C. Pan were invited as guests of honour.
The celebration started with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Director Dr. D.B. Shakyawar. At the outset, he conveyed his warm wishes to all the members of NINFET family and highlighted upon the importance of this day. He has spoken about the achievements of the institute and expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to its development over the years. He called upon all the staff members to work hard to achieve their goals and realize the vision of this esteemed organization.
Dr. K.K. Satapathy, Guest of Honour expressed his happiness over the progress of the institute. Dr. N.C. Pan, Guest of Honour addressed the august audience and praised the dynamic leadership of present director Dr. Shakyawar and dedicated works of all the staff members. Mrs. M. Shakyawar, President, Ladies Club, ICAR-NINFET has spoken on the occasion and urged the staff members to make the institute ladies club vibrant through more and more participation.
On this occasion ten (10) staff members were awarded with certificates of appreciation for commendable works in their respective fields. Contractual staff members engaged in security, sanitary and garden of the institute were highly praised for their day to day works and also awarded with attractive gifts.
One of the highlighting features of this event was the distribution of passing out certificates to the newly joined technicians who have undergone three months practical training at various division of the institute. A manual of this training programme was also released by Director and dignitaries present.
Staff members, retired employees and children from nearby schools have enthralled the audience with their performance through singing, dancing and patriotic speeches. Kids of staff members have also performed at their level best and amused the gathering.
